Ofcoms Annual Communications Report for 2007 has just been published and has some really interesting statistics.
- Daily internet use has increased again (now at average of 36 minutes)
- TV down 4% (3 hours and 36 minutes)
- Radio down 2% (2 hours and 50 minutes)
- Young people cutting back on computer games and watching DVDs/CDs and more time online, on mobiles and listening to MP3 players
- 15% of 13 – 15 year olds own a webcam
- 7% of 10 year olds own a webcam
- 16% of over 65’s use the internet
- Over 65’s spend most time online each month than any group (42 hours per month)
- 25% of all internet users are aged over 50
- In the age group 25 – 34 women are bigger users of the internet than men
The era of the single personal digital communicator is almost (already) upon us...

· 13% access the internet from them
· 10% listen to the radio
· 21% use it as a mini games consul
